HISTORY

Tyrone Johnson was a normal kid from the streets. He hated school, he ran with a gang, and he was always looking for a get rich quick scheme. Everything changed the day he learned he was not a normal kid from the streets. The day he found he was not normal at all, but a mutant.

He and a few other gang-bangers had just held up a local convenience mart. In trying to escape, Tyrone failed to notice the police cruiser in front of him. Too late, Tyrone ducked down a blind alley only to learn it was a dead end. Cornered by a police officer, Tyrone prayed that the earth would open up and swallow the officer. To both of their surprise, the earth under the patrolman's feet did just that.

Making his escape, Tyrone realized there was more to what had just occured than blind luck. The earth does not open up without warning and swallow people. Only to seal itself afterwards. Whent he heat from the robbery died down, Tyrone began to experiment with his new-found abilities. He learned that he had the ability to make the earth do his bidding. Donning a costume to hide his identity from the law, Tyrone began a one-man petty crime spree.

His crimes did not go unnoticed. Nemesis watched him for some time before approaching him with the offer of greater and bolder crimes with larger paybacks. Intrigued by the chance to make more money in an easier fashion, Tyrone accepting her offer and joined her band of criminals as Earthmaster.
